Transcript for "Supercharge Your Microsoft Reach: Unlock Productivity with Printix and Power PDF": Good morning, everybody. Thank you very much for attending this webinar this morning. You'll be hosted by my colleague, Guy Church, and myself, Ben Roberts, where we're gonna be taking you through how you can unlock productivity with two of our flagship tools, Power PDF and Printix. Conscious that the time has just started, so we're just gonna allow for another thirty seconds while the rest of the audience floods in, and we'll get started. Okay. I think the numbers are looking good right now, so we will get going. Thanks, Ben. So before we dive into these specific propositions, we just wanted to highlight what we're going to cover today. And the whole emphasis behind this webinar is how we can help you supercharge your Microsoft experience and investments today with two of our platforms, Printix and Power PDF. Printix is a print management solution, something that Tungsten have been supporting customers with for decades, in fact. And we have a long line of different tech companies in our portfolio that have done such things ranging from SafeCom to Equitrack, more recently ControlSuite, and now Printix, which is our true SaaS cloud solution, built with Microsoft in mind. We're also being recognized for some of our capabilities around print management by the printer IT awards year in, year out, winning, awards for on premise tools such as Control Suite, Princess itself, and more recently, our hybrid capabilities are bringing on premise environments into, cloud way of working. Guys, then gonna touch on our PDF. Power PDF is a PDF editing desktop tool, which again is winning various different awards, out there in the market. For anyone that's used Power PDF, you already know that it's based around a Microsoft Office theme and feel with lots of connectivity into the Microsoft ecosystem, which Guy will elaborate on more in a lot more detail. The great thing about both of these product sets is they are hosted in Azure, a platform that is trusted by you as an organization today, working within Teams and Outlook and beyond. So without further ado, Guy, I'm gonna hand the bathroom over to you where you can take the audience through our PDF. Thank you, Ben. Much appreciated. So thank you, Guy Church, business sales manager with The UK and Ireland, and thank you everybody for your time today and your attention. As Ben said, we're looking to talk around how you can supercharge your Microsoft investment and experience. And I'm gonna talk through how we do that on PDF and PDF in general. I appreciate this this will be a high level overview, and then we'll open up at the end for any questions and, you know, the ability for you to have, personal demonstrations thereafter should you wish. So something that, slide in front of you won't be new news to people. We know that we're in a digital age where we've kinda got information overload. So it's essential how we manage that data, okay, in various formats. Now how does Power PDF and the use of PDFs will assist with this? So think of information overload. We'll use the the most common format attached to our inboxes is PDF, and we also know that that reduces file sizes. But key really is what we're all looking to do with our days is reduce manual processes. And whilst manual processes within documents and editing, creating documents to PDF, in various formats, we're looking to save seconds and minutes. But, actually, when we add up those seconds and minutes for the volume of times that we do this, and then we add that exponentially across the number of users, then that means that we can get a good return on a solution such as Power PDF. What we also want is visibility into our data. We need to be able to search it. So with a world class omni page OCR engine, we can access all the detail within that information, make sure that it's in a format that we can do so. When we talk about fragmented systems for desktop applications, back end applications, Power PDF enables the integration to connect with those. And also from fragmented, not just fragmented systems, but fragmented teams and people trying to work together. We'll talk through how with Microsoft suites such as Teams, and there can be that integration of people. But, really, at the heart of PDF, what it was originally designed for and still remains at the heart of what PDF is around is security and compliance. And there has been security and compliance as pertinent as it is in today's world with GDPR, and regulations that are set and the associated fines and issues that can arise around those. So PDF is still a heavily used compliant format. In terms of cons configuring that content chaos with Power PDF, what's Power PDF really used for? So, essentially, it's used to create and convert documents. We want to be able to convert them from any format, any application. But once we've done that, we want to be able to edit those documents, create new documents, bundle documents together. We may want to create forms. Heavily being used today is redaction. Again, with the likes of GDPR, to be able to redact information is why we see this heavily used in the legal sector, but increasingly public sector organizations and any under governments wanting to that information. We'll talk about that. Compliance standards need to be met, as we've said. And, of course, with the integration, we want to make sure and we'll talk through particularly around Microsoft, how we integrate with all the applications that you use. So probably the key slides of of the session really because of the theme as Ben has outlined around maximizing your Microsoft application suite. So first of all, under the red arrow there, you'll see a ribbon. I'm sure you agree it very much looks like a Microsoft ribbon because it's built on a Microsoft look and feel, but that is actually the Power PDF ribbon that enables you to convert words directly to PDF, including text, tables, images. Excel converts to full workbooks or selected sheets. Connector, tabs opens, checks PDF straight from SharePoint. OneDrive files can open and save and all within Power PDF with no extra steps. And I'll talk a little bit more on a couple of slides around Teams integration. Our Teams sessions runs on Power PDF's cloud editor, so double done. Never stored. They're only held in session. So from a user point of view, what it's really about is, one, when people are moving from a current PDF solution to a new one, it's really easy in transition for users because it's a look and feel of Microsoft's product they're already very familiar with, and it's very intuitive. What we find with that is, generally speaking, we have so many organizations that on day one will move from a Power PDF to Power PDF from a previous solution and the same number of users. But given the cost benefits of PDF, the return on investment, and how easy it is to use for any user, we generally find they end up rolling out to all of their users because they see how it reduces their manual processes and make sure that everybody's working together at everybody's compliant. So the bottom half of the circle, is around the applications and the users. But just as important around that Microsoft, as Ben said, it's built around Azure seamlessly. However, in the top half of the circle, suites like Microsoft's entry ID, PowerPVF ensures that it works with entry ID so your user licenses are rolled out and managed, works with Microsoft Intune to make it a seamless implementation and rollout without much time and effort or issues, and also what's Microsoft purview to ensure some security standards are met. And on the bottom there, we also meet the likes of SOC two security compliance. All of these things, what I would suggest is when we're talking about what PDF can be used for and how it integrates, this is high level today. I very much welcome that the follow-up from this will be that if you'd like to have a demonstration so that we can look at your use cases, how yours, yourself in your organization, or your clients, if you're a partner on this call, maximize and get into the detail of that PDF. So I think if I didn't mention AI, we'd probably all be thinking, oh, we have a call in 2026. Have we gone back in time? Because I can't remember the last time AI wasn't in the conversation on the webinar. However, Thompson has a real strict approach to to AI. You know, it's to be outcome based. Is it productive? Is it practical? And we've taken that approach with PDF. Our AI is to be productive, practical, and most importantly, secure. With that in mind, we talk around bringing your own AI. So Power PDF, our copilot within that connects to your large language model, which means the governance you've already gone through, the security process, the sign off, and choosing that LLM. It connects into that, so the information and data you've got into here stays with you. What do we use it for? Things like document summarizations, personalized insights, translation. And just talk about as manual process and little steps. A latest update means that, yes, previously, you could go into the ribbon, select security, you would select to adapt, you would enter what you want to adapt, such as a mobile telephone numbers in the document. Now it straightens the AI Copilot, redact mobile telephone numbers, redact names, it will redact those and show what it's redacted. And that redaction actually doesn't just make it so it's not visible. It removes that metadata behind it. So in terms of, when we're talking about Teams, what do we see Teams being used for? Teams is something that we're all increasing because our lot of our boxes are so full, but it's a great tool to be able to collaborate. Now with that in mind, what we see that we use it for, commenting on PDF files, making sure version controls. It's gotta go through a sign up process that needs stamps, needs sign in, needs marking up. And, again, this is something that really can only be truly valued when you see it in the demonstration. So, again, we we welcome you coming to us for that support. When we integration, okay, in terms of integration perspective, it's a case of there's a really high level widespread, connector ecosystem so that everything can be done within PDF without having to exit and go back into the application. You'll see on there I'm sure all of you are seeing several logos on there of applications from and back end that you utilize that will connect into PDF. It's important to know that the latest developments within PDF means that that API is is open architecture so that the world is always when it comes to if there's an application that wants to work with PDF, we open the door for that freely. So something else just wanna touch on. We've spoken about some use cases and users and making sure that it integrates with Microsoft. But equally, we wanna make sure that once this is implemented and rolled out through the likes of Android ID and ITune, that you can manage it and see it, and you can't manage what you can't see. So cloud license server enables your central IT administrators to be able to see user licensing, how many you've got. And it also means that, if the user is not using saving ninety days, you can say, hey. You're not using it. We're not getting a return. Let's move it on to another user. So it wouldn't be sorry. Excuse me. It wouldn't be right if we didn't talk about what was the core PDF. Okay. The core PDF is to remember that it's still about document standard. We've got lots of Microsoft integration, lots of new use cases, new workflows, but we need we do make sure that we meet all of the PDF standards, and we will always do so. Just to wrap up for me so that I'm on time, is don't just take our word for it. Okay? We're not an organization that heavily markets and advertises PDF because we wanna keep that cost point down. Yeah. It speaks for itself in business. But we do have 15 plus million installations of PDF. We're number one in the legal market with 41% market share. In The UK, for example, my region, we supply 16 out of the top 20 UK legal firms with the number one alternative to the leading PDF brand, 40% of Fortune 500. So it's very widely utilized. It wouldn't be miss of me if I didn't mention that actually a lot to do with PDF and the transition is around we typically see from the leading brands 30 to 50% savings to bring all those features and a smooth implementation. And, actually, the proof is also in the 80% and above of returning PDF customers renewing their contracts. So before I pass over to Ben, I'd just like to extend that offer again that we will follow this up. We've, like, a demonstration, and we can talk about trials. So, thank you very much, and and over to you, Ben, to, sing the songs about fintechs. Thank you very much, Guy. So over. to print and print management specifically. So similar to Guy, I sit here in The UK. And we know a lot of you are on the call today. And, really excited to to show you how you can get the most out of that Microsoft investment for your customers and for our partners. So Printix is a Microsoft trusted platform, and it started, over ten years ago, in fact, where in 2014 where Printix was born and founded in Denmark by print management pioneers who have been in the industry for decades on end building on premise tools. Now once they understood that cloud was the direction of travel for a lot of organizations, they took time to invest in how the future would look for print management and went to work to build a future proof tool that was built for the modern workspace. That is when Printix was born. They took all of their knowledge and expertise that they learned over the decades, stripped it, refined it, and made a simple outcome, which was Printix. Now in those first startup years, you know, like many startups do, they were working between various different systems and concepts and so on, but quickly formed an alliance with Microsoft under what was known as the BISPAF program, now now known for Microsoft for startups. That allowed them to move all the resources for r and d over into Azure where they could start to really build a scalable platform that could work across SMB organizations all the way through to some of the largest enterprises in the world. In 2021, Tungsten Automation purchased Printix, and it now is our lead solution when it comes to print management, especially within the SaaS field. So a lot of your organizations that you work with today will be using some type of authentication, on their endpoints. And that likely is enter ID or maybe, active directory. And when it comes to single sign on, there's kind of one missing piece, when it comes to print management. Now PrintX is almost a silent assassin that can work in the background. IT can publish it and authenticate multiple different intra ID groups. So if you are a disparate or decentralized organization or gone through many acquisitions and you have multiple intra IDs or active directories, those can all be brought into one tenant. Utilizing that single sign on capacity, the user doesn't know that they're actually utilizing something like Printix. And in fact, if they've moved away from some type of print setup already, so it could've been server based or using some type of on prem print management. All the Q needs can be replicated. So users can simply just click control p, click the queue that they're familiar with, and away they go. They don't even know that they're using Printix. So Azure handles the passwords, the authentication, the redundancy, and gives you that kind of quick access to deploy, which can even be deployed out via groups. And more recently, we introduced skin, which again is a way of being able to offer more granular controls around authentication with group synchronization. In addition, we wanna let Intune deploy the client for you at at scale. They're formally known as endpoint manager. This is a way of being able to wrap up the clients or the application and push it out to your user groups, across the globe. All you need to do is go down into the Printix tenant and download the Printix client, wrap it up into your Intune package, authenticate with the likes of Entra, which, is a very simple procedure, and then finally, let the users sign in. It really is that easy. You can get set up and distributed in just a matter of minutes, and you can knock over, global rollouts in a matter of days depending on the capacity that you have. Now we all know a lot of organizations are security conscious and rightly so. Now by default, if you're utilizing Printix from a direct print perspective, we keep the jobs local to the network. So jobs aren't leaving your own environment. This helps with latency, of course, and also keeps documents secure on your network. In the instance where you need to utilize securities and you have roaming users, either moving between offices or different networks or even geographies, that's where you need to utilize some type of cloud service to be able to store the job and then release at another time. So we understand that some organizations don't want their documents sitting in our cloud, which in this case is hosted in The Netherlands. This is why that we've provided ability to plug in your own Azure Blob storage so users can be, satisfied that the documents sit in an environment that they already know and trust. With that as well, more recently, we've actually released the ability to introduce multiple Blob storages. So you could have one in The UK, you know, one in Europe, one serving AMS APAC, however it is that you want it to be designed. And, again, that's gonna help with any latency that you could have as you'll be releasing jobs from a local environment rather than traversing, Farfetch geographies. So that means that your jobs are always available, always accessible depending on the retention period that you set, pulling down from an environment that you already know and trust. In addition to this, how do we expand the capabilities with the likes of APIs and MCPs? There's a lot of hype around plugging in various systems where possible. Printix has a open source API that allows you to plug into the likes of Azure Logic applications. And we built a a template as an example, for email to print. Very easily very, very easily built and deployed. In fact, you can deploy it in under five minutes. It's a free template available on our particular marketplace for which we are updating with multiple different workflows for our customers to be able to leverage. If you're already familiar with Azure Logic Apps, you know that, you know, the world is your oyster. So you can start to bring in print streams to all sorts of different applications that previously might have been a challenge. And finally, how do we start to complement some of Microsoft's printing initiatives? You know, Microsoft are a powerhouse, and, you know, we wanna work with them wherever possible. They launched Universal Print a number of years ago, which is their answer to print management, and it serves a purpose in a lot of environments today. They've changed that as well in terms of the amount of jobs that can be submitted, also bundling into your Microsoft agreement. But there are sometimes some bottlenecks when it comes to to the security settlement. Yeah. At the moment, they only offer mobile release, but partnering with Printix could provide secure release in conjunction with the other elements. Universal Print is also offering it to you today. So we integrate with that entirely. You've also got the rise of ARM devices. So these are coming into the market thick and fast, generally because of their affordability, but also the speed of the processor, available. In our last release, we offer compatibility for ARM devices for the queues where ARM devices are available. So rest assured if you are moving your laptop estate to ARM, we've got you covered. And then finally, Windows protected print mode. Probably one of the more recent things Microsoft have released, and it's their answer to solving issues like print nightmare. It's a great concept and ultimately requires an organization to go driving us. And this might work in some scenarios, but for the print heavy organizations that need to utilize drivers for preset options and preferences and calling different trades and so on and so forth, the native driver will always stand strong. So we offer compatibility with WPP if organizations have shifted. So rest assured, whatever your printing initiative is in tandem with Microsoft, we can integrate. Also, new for 2026, Printix is available on the Microsoft marketplace where we can submit private offers and, direct offers to our customers. This simplifies the whole process for vendor onboarding and, invoicing. In addition, for organizations utilizing or under a Mac, a Microsoft as your customer commit, you can decrement that spend, should you wish. You'll see in the poll section here, we actually have, a poll asking if any of you guys have a Mac in place today. As we'd love to hear from you and understand if this could help you decrement some of the commitment that you already have available. The process is dead simple. All we need is the Azure tenant ID where the where the private offer can be submitted, and Microsoft pretty much take care of the rest. So if you're of interest, please get in touch. We'd love to hear more. So to wrap up, you know, ultimately, your modern workplace printing journey starts here. You've already invested in the Microsoft suite. The The question now comes down to what will you begin to do for print? It's likely you have appetite to move or move away or reduce or remove entirely the print server, and that's something we can definitely help with. It doesn't matter where you are on your journey, be it, you know, we've never used print management, we just direct print, or we have on premise tools in place today. We can integrate with each part of that journey under our hybrid cloud model or utilizing printing as an infrastructure tool or utilizing it for both infrastructure and secure based printing. We have the ability to help you understand the return on investment that might be available by switching to. It's a comprehensive report using data from, quote, Circa, Gartner, Dell, and more. We just need a few key bits of information from you. And if this is of interest, please follow-up with us after the call. And to replicate what Guy said, proof is in the pudding. Come and see us for a demo. We'd happy to take you through how Printix can work within your environment. And And in fact, that is the next step. You know, we provide free trials of Printix so you can see firsthand how easy it is to get set up and implement it, across your different organizations. So that is it from me. Guy, thank you very much for your time in introducing Power PDF. We've got a few minutes now for a bit of q and a. We could take it from there. Thanks, Ben. Okay. So we already had some questions come in. So this one said, it seems that most pre management solutions have been the same thing where you differentiate Fair comment. Right? They are in this one way, shape, or form having a similar outcome. I think our biggest USP is the ability to take a customer, from their existing environment through their cloud journey at pace that suits them under our hybrid cloud model. So integrating with the likes of ControlSuite, Equitrack, PaperCut, you name it. We can pull in those print streams, giving IT a central way of being able to administer, network setup, queues and drivers, authentication, and so on. That then allows you to then move, print, app infest. Thanks, Ben. Do you have any others, Matt, also? There's one here, Kyle. Okay. So what. What's the migration per PDF look like? So, the migration is straightforward. And as we say, it it leans on to the, the Microsoft, you know, message here, really, that, you know, you've got all of your user and entry ID. Okay. There's a cloud license server, for the administrator. The administrator can, import those entry ID users and groups, into Power PDF, and the users are assigned to those licenses. And then those licenses are rolled out to, desktops via Intune. So it's a straightforward process. It's something that doesn't particularly ever require any support from us. We can provide support services to do it, but I'll be honest with you. I can't remember last time that somebody in IT didn't just receive a license and and and manage it themselves. So, it is straightforward. Another one came in. Will you guys be getting a copy of the presentation? So all of the content will be uploaded loaded to our website in due course. So for those who have registered, we'll be ensuring you understand where those links can be found. Thank you. Okay. I think that's probably all we've got time for given, the webinar is now at, at full time. So, for any other questions that have come across, we will endeavor to get those answered offline. But in the meantime, reach out to your partners, reach out to your local account manager. Let's see how we can help you, get the most out of your Microsoft investment moving forward. Thank you, Ben. Thank you all for attending.
